Okay people, the last Map-Rating Thread didn't work out. Few maps were getting rated anymore, so we're restarting it.

In this thread you must rate at least one map for every one you post. You have to say which maps you rated, and preferably (but not necessarily) what you gave them and why. If you don't do this your post will be deleted.

By the way, if you don't have enough maps to rate you can always visit the old thread.

Sound good/make sense to you guys?

Surely it should be more of a ratio system? I usually only post one map here, whilst others often post about 5 at a time. Surely this injustice should be readjusted?

I suppose this is a bit of a stupid question, but do we have to submit maps to rate?

What I mean is, I don't mind, I'm just here to rate, not have mine rated.

No, you don't have to submit maps. This is called the Map-Rating Thread, not the Map-Submitting Thread, after all.

tower of tragedy

And I'll rate "For JeffKillian" from wellsj. Results coming soon...

Here:
It was quite fun. It gave people choices on which way they thought was best for all gold. Plus it's a challenge to get all gold. I rate it a 4/5.

I have rated tower of tragedy. I gave it a 3.5 because I think the structure of the map was good, but the flow was somewhat staggered due to the gauss turrets coming from all sides and the keys being very close to the mines. Playing parts of it just felt uncomfortable. You did a good job placing the gauss turrets in dangerous places. Perhaps I just think it was staggered because I'm not as good at this game as some, but I'm rating honestly.

The map I want rated is this: Underneath.

Sequeals are only good when the hero is dead

This is what I get for posting maps at midnight... no one sees them. It's got 3 ratings and no comments, I really want comments because I spent a good ammount of time on this.

Rated Tower of Tragedy (comments on map page.)

I rated maximo's "Sequeals are only good when the hero is dead" because I was bored. Results...

It was very challenging, but it was still good. I rated it a 4/5.

I would like this map rated.

Tower of Tragedy ~ Ngaged
I loved the look of this map, but it's just simply too frustrating. There's nothing wrong with hard maps, as long as it fun challenging instead of frustrating challenging. This map ticked every box apart from whether I was having fun or not. It was just too frustrating... 3/5

For JeffKillian ~ Wellsj
Kept simple, and it really worked. Looks good enough, and hard to really fault in any areas. Good fun... 4/5

I rated "Sequeals are only good when the hero is dead" a 4. Nice, solid map with some great areas to do stunts in and pull of some wicked N moves. biggrin.gif But, it is long AND hard, which is a bad combo most of the time. Overall a great map.

I rated it a 4/5! Though it wasn't too challenging, it was very fun! I liked it a lot.

I rated Templex's "Chipping it Off". I gave it a 4/5. I thought the big Eldrial looked cool with the mines and gold covering it. Pretty challenging with the mines right next to the switches...grr...

I would like this map rated. Only two more votes:
hardcore dodging

Thanks

Sorry Maniac, you need to rate a map for every one you post. Your post was deleted.

HeartView is okay I suppose since he rated a map in a recent post. In the future I'd prefer you do them both in one post though, it's easier to keep track of that way.

Ortia - 4 - Nice and simple stuff. Excellent flow, too. It looked like it would be harder than it actually was. Can't say I liked the stacks and stacks of jump pads, but that's really minor.

Pipe Peril - a low 4 - The jumps were a lot of fun, but I think I could have figured them out without the gold trails. And the middle gauss was slightly annoying.

Pagoda - 3 - Eh. The tiles were okay, the gameplay very tough and not entirely satisfying. Those drones were used very effectively though... they always seemed to be where I wanted to go!

Turretunnels - 3.5 - Fairly good flow, but going too fast always resulted in death by rocket for me. And why did you change the gold placement pattern in that one section? It made all-gold difficult, and not flow-y. I liked how you used the squeeze-effect to force the ninja to keep his speed up.

Pyramid 51 - 3 - I really liked the top structure, with the thwumps and mines. But I don't think it was used very effectively. The bottom (the pyramid) was just a too boring. Getting the gold was fun though, and tough.

Rated: Ortia
4 - For a level built around teleporters it has a good flow. Not very hard either, which is a plus for me.

For Jeffkillian (2 votes left) action

Hover (1 vote left) survival

WJO Challenge 3 (1 vote left) puzzle

rated: Tower of Tragety 3.5/5. nice map but some of the stuff wasn't well placed and the gauss turrets got annoying

Turret Tunnels was a 3/5 because i didn't like how you had to get close to the rockets. it lost the flow big time. pretty fun map though

ortia 4/5.

I voted for Hover, by wellsj.

I gave it a 4, because it was completely different from any survival map I've ever played. Hard to stay alive for too long(well that's the point, isn't it?) but can be great if well executed.

The map I need to be rated is
Juxtapose
1 vote left, my favorite level out of all of mine.
